Established in 2005 Mishimoto has had almost 2 decades of experience working and leading in providing superior cooling systems worldwide. Now with a old and dated website was in dire need of to be updated to reflect it's global leading brand position.
Migrating from a legacy platform the aim was to enhance the site and add functionality for a richer and customisable customer experience.

The site had vast products being bought globally (thus multiple currencies and global shipping) across B2B and B2C clients. The branding was already established and had an old mascot (Chilly the penguin) that still had to be incorporated for offline brand consistency.
We ran a number of workshops to order to get an understanding: the business requirements, the nuences within the sector, highlight customer behaviour patterns, needs and pain points.
This included defining the goals as a team, analysis of data, persona creation, content modelling a new site architecture and competitor analysis.
We also looked at a custom functionality: a custom search model for Mishimoto entitled "YMM" (Year Make Model) where users could input their vehicle details to filter straight through to relevent and compatiable products. This evolved into a new 'add your vehicle' feature so users that had an account could save vehciles and select them to personalise their shopping experiences.
Once UX discovery was complete we got to work with in-depth wireframes across desktop and mobile to cover layouts, hierarchy, functionality and moved onto high-fidelty designs and updated digital branding.
